Very disappointed with our first visit to this cafeteria. After finishing our meal, we went to order milkshakes. When we arrived at the ice cream counter, the employee on duty that Sunday, July 26th, told us: "Oh no, no ice cream, it's reserved for children and only children!" At that point, I thought it was a joke because the displays were overflowing with ice cream of every flavor! But no, the woman refused to make the milkshakes we asked for because we weren't children! Unbelievable! There weren't many people in the cafeteria that day, and the woman had no reason to refuse the sale. It's discrimination, plain and simple. What does Flunch management think about this?

Honestly, I didn't like it. Too salty. The hot dishes. And not even ice cream for adults. It's only for children. Shameful, I honestly won't go there again. And I advise you against it.

Flunch is a reliable choice. More precise signage would be welcome... (it's impossible to find the trays, for example, or the direction of the queue).

Hello, on July 18th, we chose the all-you-can-eat mussels and fries menu for €12.95. Unfortunately, the fries were dry, or had been fried a second time, and the mussels were far too small, unlike last summer for the same promotion, when I enjoyed this menu. It was 29 degrees Celsius outside, yet there was no air conditioning in the dining room, for our comfort. What happened??? I'm extremely disappointed!

Hello, I came to eat here last night, July 18, 2026. We ordered mussels and fries. What happened with your fries? And the mussels? They were really too small! The manager should go to Normandy; he'd see the size of the mussels there—no comparison. There was no air conditioning in the dining room. In short, it wasn't great.

We had a bad experience when we wanted ice cream after our meal. The cashier told us she didn't have time to serve any. They said they only serve ice cream from the children's menus because it's too busy and there aren't enough staff due to the all-you-can-eat ice cream, but there were no signs at the register or in the ice cream parlor indicating that it was closed. When we asked for an explanation, she told us to just leave a review online. The Flunch in Lorient is truly disappointing.

The restaurant is pathetic; the door is open but it's closed. They only serve lunch and dinner. Especially if you want to eat for free, it must be possible since they leave the ice cream available without any staff.

We ate there on Saturday, July 4th, before leaving for vacation, and again on Saturday, July 11th, 2026. I don't understand all the negative reviews; the staff is friendly. I had fish and chips on the way there. The meal was perfect. It's not a restaurant, it's a cafeteria! (To address some of the comments.) On the return trip, there were no problems; the staff were friendly and smiling. Thank you to the staff. People of Lorient, take advantage of your good fortune, because in Brest they've closed both cafeterias.

Simple and efficient. Nothing to complain about. Everything you'd expect from a Flunch.

Honestly, this isn't the most welcoming Flunch around, it's very outdated, and the staff has a gloomy atmosphere 🙁. The meat is barely cooked, and the cutlery 🍴 is just barely clean. There's a world of difference between the one in Quimper, for example, and the one in Lorient. I don't recommend Lorient. Is there some standard they're supposed to meet? In short, unfortunately, there aren't many other options when you want to eat something other than a burger, or end up with a sandwich for lunch, or eat in a more expensive restaurant. This is probably the main reason why the Flunch in Lorient is still open, despite its very low customer numbers.

I went to Flunch to treat my mom to a nice meal. When we got to the appetizers, there were very few choices: hard-boiled eggs, celery remoulade, and cold potato salad. It's pretty much impossible to make a salad (no tomatoes, cucumber, onion, or any simple ingredients). We both ordered hamburgers, and when we got to the register, we wanted to order ice cream, which was available. The cashier asked a colleague if ice cream was available, but unfortunately, they didn't have any. So I went to pay, and he asked me for 30 euros! I still can't believe it. I paid 30 euros for two hard-boiled eggs, a tiny bit of celery, two frozen hamburgers, and two portions of fries! It had been a while since my last visit, and it's changed drastically, and for the worse. There are practically no starters, no desserts, and while they offer a menu with ice cream, crepes, and waffles, there's still nothing else. They might as well not have a menu at all! And then they tell me at the register that there's no ice cream, when if it had been clearly stated at the entrance, we would have known what to expect! It's a shame, I used to love this place, and it was always packed. Now, it's much less busy, and I understand why. I won't be going back unless management has a change of heart and decides to turn things around.

Here's a clearer, more suitable version for a Google review: The cashier was very pleasant and smiling; no complaints there. However, the experience with the woman in the kitchen was much less positive. My parents and I ordered the Flunchy Crousty without realizing they contained sauce and fried onions. Since the dishes were prepared in advance, it wasn't possible to order them without these ingredients. When we asked if it would be possible to reorder them without the sauce and reheat them so they would be hot, the woman was not at all friendly, and we felt like we were bothering her. Furthermore, we found the bill very high: €72 for two-quarters of a melon, a few cherry tomatoes, a hard-boiled egg, a piece of cheese, two portions of butter, a children's menu, and three adult dishes. It's a shame, because the welcome at the till was very pleasant, but the service in the kitchen and the value for money disappointed us.
