L'Optimist - Restaurant Terrasse

The staff are super cool and always smiling, especially Soisic and William.

Warning: The Optimist restaurant serves raw milk cheese (unpasteurized) to pregnant women and children. The context: I am pregnant and had specified that my two-year-old would be eating the same cheese in my meal. Therefore, I asked if the Reblochon cheese on the pizza was pasteurized. The employee told me it was. At the end of the meal, I asked the brand of cheese and was told it was from Promo Cash. However, on Promo Cash, I only found raw milk cheese. I insisted, and the chef finally came out and showed me the label below. He maintained that it was pasteurized, even though it clearly states "raw milk" and "not for consumption by young children or pregnant women." He replied that it was pasteurized because it was cooked at 100°C on the pizza. 1 How can you trust someone when they lie to you from the start? 2. Cooking at 100°C is not enough to completely eliminate all pathogenic bacteria on a pizza. It needs at least 20 minutes of cooking time, which is clearly not the case for a pizza! 3. The least they could have done was apologize! I now hope I don't lose my baby or that my child doesn't get sick as a result of this bad experience. I strongly advise against this restaurant. P.S.: The servers were quite friendly and the atmosphere was pleasant.

The best and most beautiful cafés in the area! The service is quick and friendly. The view from the terrace overlooking the boats coming and going in the harbor is also lovely. We love coming here!

A very nice restaurant on the port of Kernevel.

A mediocre pizza, with some sort of orange-red juice on top instead of a tomato sauce base. Whipped cream dripping onto my husband's ice cream. In short, really not great.

Everything was fine, the owner and waiter were friendly, and then on the terrace, two people were using Vaporette vaporizers, completely disregarding the 40 people eating around them! Smoke was flying everywhere. I spoke to a waiter who told me the terrace was for smoking. I told him that if I had known, I wouldn't have eaten on the terrace. When it came time to pay, I spoke to the owner, who immediately raised his voice and got quite clumsily angry. I told him I was being polite and that he didn't need to get upset. He told me he was a smoker and that his terrace was also for smoking. Clearly, he prefers that 40 people be bothered by two people disguised as Vaporette vaporizers because he smokes! He told me next time to eat inside! So, if you're not a smoker, you can't eat on the terrace! Given his lack of politeness, it's all been carefully considered. So, if you're a smoker, come in droves; the rest of you, it's up to you! And please specify that your terrace allows e-scooters and other similar devices; it's the least you could do. I'm not making this up; it's the absolute truth.
